The Cookbook Addict
I buy at least one cookbook every week. For me, cookbooks are one of life’s greatest comforts especially when they are filled with beautiful photographs graced with a touch of nostalgia and hinting of flavors bursting from the page. With all of these cookbooks gracing my shelves, I thought I’d start a new series of cookbook reviews. You never know which cookbooks will stand the test of treasured times or find the dust of a recycled past.
The Book Addict
I love to read often consuming books in mere days. Books are an opportunity. A chance for a new culinary adventure. Strawberry jam inspired by Leo Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina. Maple Cherry Glazed Chicken inspired by Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard. Soup from Les Miserables, breakfast from A Discovery of Witches, drinks from Harry Potter. What’s not to love! So if you’re looking for an unexpected experience, check out the pages of your favorite books!
