A ploughman’s lunch, dinner or tea is an English cold mean composed of charcuterie, cheeses, confitures and bread. This is an assemble only type of meal – no cutting, baking, cooking or primping allowed. Just assemble and eat! Today, I’m munching on an American style Ploughman’s tea complete with sharp cheddar cheese sticks served with winter blueberry jam, honey wheat toast served with ham, turkey and Inglehoffer savory honey mustard. A simple meal served with a warm cuppa tea.
Prep Time: 5 minutes Makes: 1 Serving
2-3 extra sharp cheddar cheese sticks
1-2 tablespoons winter blueberry jam
2-3 slices shaved deli honey ham
2-3 slices shaved deli turkey
1-2 tablespoons savory honey mustard (such as Inglehoffer)
1 slice of bread, cut in half
1 cuppa English Breakfast Tea
As the title suggests, assemble on a platter and plough through it!
