What could be better than munching on a warm M&M cookie?? Kids love them, parents approve of them (well auntie’s approve of them anyway!), and the best part of all, they take less than 30 minutes start to finish!
Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 12-15 minutes Serves: 4-6 cookies
1½ tablespoons melted butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1½ tablespoons granulated sugar
1½ tablespoons light brown sugar
1 tablespoon egg beaters
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon vanilla
1/32 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons M&Ms (plus extra for the kiddos to munch on while the cookies bake!)
1. Preheat the oven to 350°.
2. Melt the butter in a small mixing bowl. Let stand for a minute to cool. Add the remaining ingredients and top with the m&ms. Adding the M&Ms before mixing the dough will coat the candy in flour, which will help them incorporate into the dough and keep them from sitting on top of the cookies. Just another helpful hint from The Comfy Kitchen.
3. Mix the dough. Next, using a small cooking scoop, drop the cookies onto a quarter sheet pan covered with aluminum foil.
4. Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and set at the center. Let cool for a few minutes before digging in!
Note to Chef – This recipe doubles well to make 12 cookies.
