Like a warm hug from a cinnamon teddy graham!
Cook Time: 20 minutes Serving Size: 1 cuppa
A pinch of cardamom pods (about 3-5 pods total)
1 whole clove
1 (1″) piece of a cinnamon stick
1 (1/4″) coin of ginger
1 black peppercorn
1/2 teaspoon vanilla paste
1½ teaspoons granulated sugar
1 tea bag (black, English Breakfast or Darjeeling)
1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons of water
2 tablespoons milk
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a gentle simmer for 20 minutes. Don’t you just love the smell of cinnamon and cloves?? 🙂 Strain into your favorite tea cup, discarding the tea bag and spices and enjoy!
Note: If you like your chai even spicier, feel free to double the spices!
